Your Mission

As Vice President, FP&A and Program Finance at True Anomaly, you will own both functions end to end and report directly to the CFO. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, resource allocation, and the operating rhythm the executive team uses to run the business, delivering both the numbers and the narrative behind them. You will do this for a rapidly scaling, dynamic business executing across multiple products and programs, where financial insights drive operational outcomes.

Success in this role means leadership makes decisions on a forecast it trusts, program economics are visible and predictable, resources flow to the company's highest priorities, and the finance organization is built to support True Anomaly's next stage of scale. This role is for a proven finance executive who leads leaders, earns credibility with engineers, program managers, and government customers alike, and is as comfortable in a program review as in an executive meeting. You will own and be accountable for the finance engine at a fast-growing company taking on some of the hardest problems in national security.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Partnership

Partner with the CFO and executive team as the owner of the company's operational financial picture, bringing an independent view on budgets, resource allocation, and investment tradeoffs

Lead resource allocation across headcount, opex, capex, and IRAD, and evaluate major operating decisions such as new programs, capacity investments, and make-vs-buy

Run the company's monthly and quarterly business reviews with the leadership team, making sure performance issues lead to decisions and follow-through, and hold leaders across the organization accountable to their plans

Partner with Strategic Finance & Corporate Development on the long-range plan by building the bottoms-up operational model behind it, tying long-range targets to program, capacity, and cost realities

Build and lead a growing, multi-layered FP&A and Program Finance team, developing a team of Directors, Managers, and Analysts who deliver operational and financial outcomes

Set the roadmap for the function's policies, processes, and systems (ERP, EPM, program management tools, AI and automation) so that we build ahead of the next phase of scale

Financial Planning & Analysis

Own the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts, and build a planning process accurate and transparent enough that leadership relies on it to make decisions

Deliver timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting with commentary that explains what happened and what to do about it

Manage indirect rate structures, overhead budgets, and cost allocation in compliance with FAR/CAS, including forward pricing rate strategy, and keep rates competitive as the company grows

Partner with Business Development on pricing strategy and proposal economics so bids reflect real costs, can win, and make money when executed

Program Finance & Controls

Integrate Program Finance closely with Accounting, Supply Chain, PMO, and the rest of Finance so program cost, schedule, procurement, and revenue data stay consistent across the close, forecasts, and reporting

Own the quarterly EAC process for all customer-funded programs, giving leadership a clear and predictable view of program economics and how they roll into the company forecast

Be accountable for program compliance, audit readiness, and customer cost and schedule reporting, and represent True Anomaly in senior financial discussions with customers

Own IRAD budgets and program cost analysis, and work with PMO on the risk and opportunity register so issues surface early and show up in the forecast

Qualifications

15+ years in finance, with significant aerospace or defense experience across both program controls and broader FP&A or business finance leadership

Senior leadership experience running FP&A and/or Program Finance end to end in a complex, multi-program business, including leading Directors and managers

Proven partner to CFOs and executive teams, with a track record of shaping budgets, resource allocation, and investment decisions

Deep knowledge of program finance: EAC methodology, EVMS, ASC 606, FAR/DFARS, CAS, and government financial reporting (CPR, IPMR)

Strong FP&A and pricing background, including financial modeling, annual operating plans, indirect rate development, and basis of estimates for government proposals

Clear communicator who can explain the story behind the numbers and has credibility with program teams, executives, the board, and government customers
