Position Summary

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

The mission of Anduril’s Air Dominance and Strike Division is to fundamentally reshape the way future peer to peer conflicts are fought by developing next generation collaborative combat aircraft, advanced effects, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. As Head of Strategic Real Estate, AD&S, you will build and lead the AD&S team that turns what our products need into the right infrastructure, in the right place, at the right time. You'll lead our ever-growing real estate portfolio, from finding new test sites and constructing new factories to designing laboratory space and using our nation-wide footprint efficiently. You'll set the real estate strategy for the division, own the multi-year view of what AD&S needs, and build the machine that enables us to tactically execute across 1M+ square feet of real estate footprint.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Lead the AD&S RE&F Team. Hire, coach, and set clear expectations for a team spanning space planning and operations, industrial planning, and strategic planning. Set how the team works with its corporate counterparts.

Set the Real Estate Strategy. Own the AD&S footprint strategy across office, R&D lab, test site, initial production, and full rate production sites, and be accountable to division leadership for having the right space at the right time.

Prioritize and Allocate. Own short- and long-term space allocation across the 10s of AD&S teams/programs, for both office and prototyping/production space, and get creative to meet rapidly changing needs. Set priorities when demand exceeds supply, represent AD&S with corporate Space Planning and Strategic Real Estate on portfolio assignments and space additions, and present clear recommendations to division leadership when tradeoffs exist.

Facility Requirements. Set the standard for how engineering and production needs become facility requirements for new builds, retrofits, and test sites, working closely with Industrial Engineering and Production.

Construction and Launches. Be the single AD&S requirements owner for corporate Design & Construction on every project, hold it to time and budget, and lead each facility launch across Engineering, Production, and IT so that move in is efficient.

Multi-Year Plan and Investment. Own the multi-year AD&S real estate plan and the business case for the capital behind it. Defend it to Strategic Real Estate and division leadership, and decide when and where we make long-term investments.

Utilization, Financial Impact, and Special Projects. Define how we measure space use (SF per head, cost per seat, production space relative to output), own the portfolio's impact on the AD&S P&L, and turn the findings into decisions to consolidate, densify, or expand. Take on special projects across finance, real estate, and facilities as they arise.

Backstop the Function. Be the ultimate owner of all things related to real estate and facilities for the division.

Qualifications and Requirements

15+ years in real estate, facilities, or manufacturing infrastructure at a high-growth hardware company or similar fast-paced environment, including accountability for a multi-site footprint and the capital plan behind it.

A record of building and leading a team of planners, industrial engineers, and analysts, including hiring strong leads and setting how the team operates.

Excellent project management skills and a proven record of delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects on time and on budget, including deciding which ones deserve funding. You like solving complex, ambiguous, cross-functional problems.

Experience setting up new industrial facilities, production lines, or factories from requirements gathering to execution.

Fluent in technical documentation like facility drawings, highly proficient in Excel, and deep in construction means and methods, enough to challenge contractors and corporate partners on scope, schedule, and cost.

Experience working with a corporate real estate organization as a partner or internal customer, with the executive presence to influence leaders in the division and at corporate who don't report to you.

Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits and stakeholder meetings.

Must be eligible to hold a US Top Secret clearance.
